How do hearing aids work

At present, the most common digital hearing aids in the market use microphones to collect sound, process and amplify digital signals through the chip inside the body, and then output the amplified/processed sound to the wearer through a micro speaker. Fundamentally, the hearing aid consists of four Main components:

Microphone-The microphone collects sounds from the environment and converts these sounds into electronic signals for transmission to the internal chip

Sound processor (chip)-obtains the electronic signal from the microphone, converts it into a digital format, processes it through the processor and then enhances the amplification, and sends it to the speaker

Loudspeaker (receiver)-converts the digital format processed by the processor into sound waves and transmits them into the wearer's ears to cause eardrum vibration

Battery-the only source of driving power for hearing aids

These four parts are the most basic components of all digital signal hearing aids. Usually some mid-to-high-end hearing aids are also equipped with other functional hardware, such as electronic coils, radios, infrared and manual control modules, but microphones, chips, speakers, and batteries are the most The main and necessary existence.
