New research, published in the Journal of the American Academy of Geriatrics, suggests that using hearing aids reduces the risk of falls in people with dementia, depression and hearing loss. The study was conducted by the University of Michigan between 2008 and 2016. It used insurance claims for 114862 managed care adults, each over the age of 66 and diagnosed with hearing loss.
